Brian Bio

Brian moved to Moultonborough in 2013 from Vermont to start a better life and to fulfill his dreams of having his own tree company, Greenleaf Tree Experts, LLC. Brian scouted the Lakes Region, having been going on vacation here for 20 years, he had some knowledge of the area, and decided Moultonborough would be the perfect place to start his company. At that time Brian brought with him 20 years of experience in every aspect of the tree business and a bucket truck decked out with a custom paint job and Greenleaf Tree logo that you are sure to see going down the road and on jobs. After settling into Moultonborough, he was still work for one of the large corporate tree companies and doing his jobs on the weekends but shortly after that he decided to go all in with Greenleaf Tree Experts, and it proved to be the best decision he ever made. Brian knew what he could do, and although he knew the basics of running a business, he was smart enough to know he could not do it all on his own. In 2015 he asked a few people in town if anyone knew of someone that could help with his day-to-day task and the biggest tasks at that time was accounting & marketing for him reach his goals, and that is when he met Kara who had the extensive knowledge in running a company but also the accounting, marketing and HR experience he needed. Starting out with his knowledge and the bucket truck he had a lot to prove, and it did not take long for people to see his talent and expertise in removing trees. Brian’s specialty is not just in one area of the business, he can do it all. Whether the job needed to be with the bucket truck, free climb or flying off the ball of a 90-ton crane he is your guy. In the spring 2017 we had a major snowstorm with extreme wind gusts and microbursts throughout the town and there were trees down everywhere. We assembled a crew and went to work cleaning up our community and removing trees from structures. Thankfully, no one was hurt in that storm. From there we grew bigger and faster than we anticipated. In February 2019, Brian enrolled in Crane Tech in Florida, the country's leading crane school, to become a Crane Operator that took the company to the next level. He holds three certifications, Mobile Crane Operator with Hands-On, NCCCO Mobile Crane Operator and Qualified Rigger Level 1 OSHA 1926 Subpart CC. After much hard work and sacrifice, he bought a 70-ton crane in November 2019 and Jesse started training the following year. Since then, Greenleaf Tree has made it possible to buy a home / shop and 2 brand new trucks, trailers, several chain saws, and other equipment needed so our crew has the best equipment to do their job safely and efficiently.

Kara Bio

Kara joined Greenleaf Tree Experts part-time in 2015 to assist with the accounting, marketing and any other business things needed. At that time, she was also running her own company. Kara brought the company years' worth of knowledge and experience to running a company behind the scenes Kara’s expertise is in business management and marketing. Over the course of her career, she held several upper management titles such as Sales & Marketing Manager, HR Director, Assistant Manager, that led to General Manager mostly in the hotel industry and now she is our General Manager and so much more offering support to our customers, our crew, AKA Greenleaf Family and of course Brian, the owner. She grew up in Moultonborough and brought with her a network of other business professionals and endless knowledge of the community and people in it. Kara also has extensive experience in marketing and was tasked with getting Greenleaf Tree on the map figuratively and literally on the Google map. Her marketing ideas proved to be essential to the growth of Greenleaf Tree and making sure everyone knew The Greenleaf name. After the major snowstorm in 2017 the business was growing consistently, so therefore her workload grew and, in the Spring of 2018, she came on full-time. She knew she was part of something big. Kara has been instrumental in the guidance & growth of Greenleaf Tree Experts. Having her answer the phone every time it rings no matter what time of day, night, or weekend is extremely important to our clients, and she will go above and beyond for them. The crew is also especially important to her, making sure they always have what they need and keeping their morale on point. She is always available for them too. You could say she is the heart of Greenleaf Tree Experts. Brian, Kara & Jesse are an amazing team and are excited to see what the future holds.

Jesse Bio

Jesse joined our crew in 2019 with no genuine experience in the tree business and ironically his stepfather is a logger. Having grown up in Wolfeboro on Crescent Lake, Jeese has an unprecedented respect and understanding of the importance of protecting not only our shoreline but every property we visit. Jesse did attend College and graduated with two degrees. Jesse's professional career started as a Chef, and it was there that he learned his leadership skills, communication skills and how to give each custom a satisfying experience and exceed their expectations. He has also had a few jobs in different areas of the construction industry and from them he learned the importance of detail and pride in the finished product which he has transferred to his current position, making every client beyond satisfied. He also has a love for the thrill of his personal time, like snowboarding, hiking, water sports and riding motorcycles. Jesse was ready for a change of career and lifestyle and just like that Brian had his apprentice. In the last 5 years Jesse has become one of the most skilled Climbers in the area and was honored by learning from the best, but Jesse also took it upon himself to further his knowledge on his own time because he knew this was not just another job for him, it was his new career path, he found his knitch. Jesse is an integral part of the Greenleaf Family. His level of professionalism, leadership and respect for safety are key elements in being our Foreman, both with our crew members and our clients. Brian & Kara have every bit of trust and confidence that when he is on the job it will be done safely, efficiently, and better than the client expects it to be done. Jesse always says the crew “leave the property so clean you will not even know Greenleaf was here” Our customers agree.
